Ford Taurus SHO

For the first two generations, the Ford Taurus SHO was best known for its engine. Its exterior was very similar to any first-gen Taurus. It was not a classically beautiful car, but it certainly wasn't a bad looking one. It is, in fact, one of Ford's most popular sleepers cars. Below are five of the most notable Ford Taurus SHO sleeping cars.

Subaru Legacy Spec. Subaru Legacy Spec.

The Subaru Legacy Spec. The Subaru Legacy Spec B is one of the Subaru sleepers cars. This car is more like a lower-end version of the sedan than a high-performance model. It features 18-inch alloy wheels, dark silver paint, and red leather inside. The Spec. B is also the only Legacy manual with a navigation system. It also features a 5-speed manual transmission. It is the same driveline used in the Legacy.

Saab 9-2x Aero

The Saab 9-2X Aero is the performance variant of the nine-years-old nine-seater. Similar to the Subaru WRX this car had a flat four engine with turbochargers, and a 5-speed manual transmission. It is similar in its styling, and features a firmer suspension and softer dampers. Saab engineers also tweaked the suspension for better handling, and it has firmer springs and stiffer front control arm bushings. The 9-2X Aero, although slightly heavier than its sister vehicle, can still reach 0-60 in just five seconds.

Tesla Model X

While the Model X's full version has larger brake calipers as well as 20-inch wheels (20 inches), the sleeper version is more suitable for daily commutes and long distances. Although it may not be the best option for urban streets due to its low-profile tires or lower-profile wheels, the performance version of the Model X is better for track racing. These are just a couple of the important things to remember when choosing a sleeper for your Model X.
